Wolverhampton Road and New Birmingham Road
Sandwell Council are currently developing proposals for
improvements along the A4123 Wolverhampton Road and New Birmingham Road. The
improvements are intended to reduce peak time congestion on the route,
improve safety at key junctions, provide improved facilities for pedestrians,
and maintain the flow on this strategic route.
This website has been set up as part of Sandwell Council's public consultation into these proposals.
Why Consult?
This consultation is underway because we need your input to assist development of the proposed improvements to the A4123
Wolverhampton Road - New Birmingham Road corridor. Sandwell Council would like to know whether you think the proposals will achieve
the scheme objectives and also whether you have further ideas for the corridor. A wide range of materials have been prepared and
you can find out more in
The Consultation section of this site.
What improvements are proposed?
The proposals cover Wolverhampton Road (the A4123) from the Hagley Road to
Birchley Island. They then continue along New Birmingham Road to
Regent Road.
Proposals have been prepared in three key sections for the route. Full details of the proposals can be
seen in
The Route section of the website.
Feedback
We would like to hear your views on the ideas put forward and any further changes you would like to see. Once you have read the proposals please fill in the
on-line response questionnaire, which will only take a few minutes. Alternatively,
you can contact us in writing, or you can come and meet us at one of
the exhibitions along the route. Full details
on the ways you can contact us are available in the
Contact section.
