Improvement works commence on the A4123

Following completion of the detailed design, work is now due to commence on the first phases of the A4123 Route Improvement. The first elements of work will be the upgrade of the traffic signal controlled junctions at Causeway Green Road, Pound Road and Bleakhouse Road and will involve the upgrade of the signal equipment, improvements to the pedestrian facilities, and the implementation of revised signal timings to reduce congestion through the junction.

The works at Causeway Green Road and Pound Road junctions will commence on Monday 8th November and last for approximately 16 weeks.

The works at Bleakhouse Road junction will commence on the 15th November and last for approximately 12 weeks.

Wolverhampton Road - New Birmingham Road Consultation Launched

26th October 2009
Today the consultation on proposed improvements on A4123 Wolverhampton Road and New Birmingham Road, in Sandwell, has been launched. The consultation will seek opinions from the public on a range of proposals for the corridor.

The consultation will run from 26th October to the 27th November and will include information drops to all properties on the route and in cul-de-sacs off the route. Other properties just off the route will also receive the information. In addition, a website at www.a4123improvement.co.uk has been set up to provide full details on the proposals. A series of exhibitions are planned for along the route where those interested can drop in to see the proposals and discuss them with the project team.
